Hmmm... is it reasonable to involve religion with politics? To some countries the answer is yes, but to countries like the United States we say that being secular is right. But does our current President leave religion out of his political decisions? As we all know the answer is no. Bush has been heard saying that he has to go pray to figure out what he should do about his Iraq debacle. In our Pledge of Allegiance the concluding line includes the statement ‘One nation, under God.” So why are we trying to force Middle Eastern countries such as Iraq to become secular? Are there good reasons for this? That is what I would like to explore in this section of my blog.
